The Specialty Vehicles and Transportation Equipment Manufacturers’ Association whose business network is dedicated to improving the competitiveness of its members and increasing their profitability, was founded in September 2000 following the government’s intention to provide the ground transportation equipment industry with a group aimed at developing the industry.

With over 350 members, the AMETVS is today’s reference as far as Québec’s ground vehicles manufacturing industry is concerned. Its members come from various sectors: automobile, railway, commercial and specialty vehicles, and leisure vehicles.

The members are original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), sub-assembly manufacturers, suppliers of plastic, rubber, metal, light material, electronic and electric components; some of the members are also government and economic partners, research centres and other support organizations.

The AMETVS continuously develops new markets and facilitates industrial networking through an array of activities, lean manufacturing programs (PVA) and training programs.
